Our business aim is to make IP transparent and simple to understand for everyone, and to allow our clients to demonstrate IP Sophistication™ in managing this area.
By doing so we hope that our fund clients make better informed investment decisions and that our corporate clients create added shareholder value.
ipVA is an IP strategy, advisory, and products business that finds and builds value through intangibles. ipVA started in London in mid 2005 and now has offices and associates in London, Thames Valley, Munich, and around the world.
ipVA is a business consultancy with an IP edge. We are not a law firm or firm of patent attorneys.
ipVA consultants are commercially driven, financially aware, operational leaders, many with board level experience at global companies in the following areas:
ipVA offers services globally, and our consultants have experience throughout Europe, the United States, and Asia. We have also developed a number of partnerships with industry-leading legal, research, and commercial specialists that provide access to a wide range of skills as needed as well as the ability to handle demand peaks without compromising quality
Our main specialisations are in the technology and cleantech sectors. In technology we cover all technical fields from mobile communications, semiconductor, software and hardware.
We are building up our team in the life sciences and medical devices fields.
ipVA acts for several leading venture and private equity funds in Europe and the US and for their portfolio companies. We also act for an increasing number of private companies.
We aim to be selective in deciding on our targets, clients and projects. Not everyone needs our services and not all companies benefit from what we do.
We do not give out the names of our clients publicly nor do we seek publicity in deal-related press.
We prefer our reputation and work quality speak for itself.
ipVA provides training, education and awareness on IP. We have presented at the EVCA’s IPR Master Class in 2007 and 2008 to VC and PE audiences (with excellent ratings for relevance and clarity) and to the European Patent Office’s IP Business Conference and the European Leadership Program’s CEO training sessions, again with excellent ratings.
We don’t believe in training by endless monologues or death by powerpoint. We aim to make our training non-boring and highly business relevant.
