For the second year running, ipVA – Europe's premier IP strategy consultancy – is listed in Intellectual Asset Management Magazine's IAM Strategy 250. Andrew Watson, ipVA's CEO and co-founder, and Dr. Robert Harrison, ipVA's co-founder, lead consultant, and a patent attorney, have been selected yet again in the IAM 250 list of The World's Leading IP Strategists. Rob and Andrew are joined this year by fellow ipVA consultant Mike Barlow.

IAM magazine selected this list after months of extensive research that involved face-to-face and telephone interviews, and a wide ranging email campaign with several hundred Intellectual Property professionals from across the world. ipVA is one out of a handful of firms across Europe to be included and is unique to have both of its founders in the IAM 250 listings.

The IAM 250 is a major and unique publication. Unlike other guides that may identify leading trademark, patent and copyright litigators, or IP experts in a particular field of industry, no previous research specifically identifies the consultants, intermediaries and financiers, as well as the lawyers and attorneys, whose primary skill set focuses on helping IP owners to increase the value of their rights portfolios. In short, as we often say at ipVA, this listing looks at the wider "IP ecosystem" rather than the narrow band of IP legal professionals.

To qualify for listing in the IAM 250, individuals had to be nominated by at least three people who work in organisations unrelated to that of the potential nominee. Out of this list, only those  whom further research showed to have exceptional skill sets, as well as profound insights into the development, creation and management of IP value, have been included in the IAM 250.
