A definition for IP strategy and a practical example of strategy in action are now available on the ipVA site.

A definition for IP strategy and a practical example of strategy in action are now available on the ipVA site. This definition helps clear up what an IP strategy as part of a business should be, and the role of IP strategy in building and maintaining value in a company. This definition is expanded with an example of choosing patents versus trade secrets as part of the  Intangible Handbook.

The Handbook is a series of articles on the basics of Intellectual Property Rights (IP or IPRs) for businesses and investors.  Each new instalment gives a plain-language introduction to the issues and law behind an aspect of IP in order to help build understanding among investors and C-Level executives and about how they can build value with IP.
