Joren De Wachter is a consultant with ipVA and specialises in software and IT, Internet, content, and new media business, with a particular background in financial services software. Joren has qualified as a lawyer in both civil law and common law jurisdictions, and has a deep understanding in integrating technology, IP, and business models.

Joren worked in private practice at the Brussels bar on commercial contracts, copyright litigation, and M&A and restructuring before moving to in-house positions at leading financial software companies in charge of the EMEA area, first as International Counsel, then as General Counsel. In these roles he was responsible for corporate governance in 15+ jurisdictions, buy and sell side M&A, litigation and dispute resolution, and IP management.

Joren speaks fluent Dutch, English, and French.
